If you’re a working college student, you know that time and money are both essential. Taking advantage of student discounts is the key to saving money as a student. Not only are you able to save money on items like computers and headphones, but a lot of schools offer discounts for software as well. Make yourself aware of the sales and discounts your school might offer on computer hardware and software before the next semester begins!

Another easy way to save time and money is to purchase all of your textbooks online. While this may seem a little intimidating at first, having an electronic textbook will make your life much easier. Not only are they substantially cheaper than traditional textbooks, but since you can download them to all your devices you will never forget a textbook again. Another bonus of having an electronic textbook is the ability to do a keyword search. This will save you a lot of time when trying to write research papers, or when you are trying to find a specific word or phrase from the textbook.

Another tip to help students throughout the semester is to become familiar with cloud-based storage. Sites like Google Drive and Dropbox offer a free service where you can upload all your documents online and access them anywhere with an internet connection. Not only is this extremely convenient, but it prevents your files from being lost if there is a sudden issue with your computer or hard drive.
